Breaking News Casa Grande - Phoenix Mart in Casa Grande, Arizona
Phoenix Mart Press Conference
Mayor Bob Jackson announced at a press conference on August 3, 2011 that plans are in place to build Phoenix Mart in Casa Grande, Arizona. The 1.5 million square foot commercial complex will be used to promote small and mid-sized manufacturers’ and agents’ products directly to consumers, businesses and international buyers. Phoenix Mart will be the newest and largest sourcing center in the United States. AZ Sourcing, LLC and its affiliates are the developers and operators of this project.
“This project will not only generate thousands of new jobs in Casa Grande, but will also provide international exposure to our city and county,” stated Mayor Bob Jackson. “In addition, this multi-million dollar project will offer an excellent opportunity to local small businesses as well as new businesses to get exposure to international markets.”
Phoenix Mart is expected to create in excess of 3,000 direct jobs in Casa Grande, Arizona with an initial investment of approximately $150 million in building and infrastructure. Most of the investment for the construction of the project will come from foreign sources under the Federal Immigration EB5 Program. The EB5 Program requires the creation of 10 permanent new jobs for each $500,000 investment.
Phase 1 of the project will be located in the former Outlet Mall on 2300 E. Tanger Drive and will be home of the Phoenix Mart Welcome Center, a place for investors and the public to learn about Phoenix Mart before construction is completed, and yaKool, a supplier of furnishings to 4 and 5 star hotels and resorts. The new 1.5 million square foot commercial complex will be located on Florence Blvd., east of I-10 near Overfield Road. The entire project is expected to be operational in late 2012 or early 2013.
The City of Casa Grande has been working with AZ Sourcing, LLC for almost two years to bring this new concept project to Arizona. “Phoenix Mart will help revitalize the local economy and enhance the quality of life of the residents in Casa Grande and the surrounding area,” continued Mayor Jackson. “We welcome Phoenix Mart to our community and look forward to working closely with AZ Sourcing, LLC on this project.”
AZ Sourcing, LLC is an Arizona-based company specialized in real estate development and shopping center management. The company has developed and managed commercial projects in many national and international places, including Seattle, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Mexico and China.
