Free Electronics Waste Recycling Event on April 13

The City of Casa Grande will host a free regional electronics waste recycling event on Saturday, April 13 from 7:30 a.m. to 12 Noon in the northeast parking lot of Carr McNatt Park, 1115 N. Brown Avenue.
The City of Casa Grande and its partners - ADEQ, Keep Casa Grande Clean & Beautiful, Supply29 and Westech Recyclers - anticipate collecting tons of unwanted televisions, computer equipment, monitors, batteries (no alkaline), chargers, cell phones, VCRs, CD and DVD players, printers, fax machines, stereos, cables and cords during the event. No light bulbs of any kind or refrigeration units with freon accepted (without freon is ok). Nearly 70,000 pounds of e-waste have been collected in previous years.

"We're pleased to host this event every year as part of our efforts to promote the recycling of electronic waste," said Public Works Director Kevin Louis. "We encourage residents to come out and dispose of their e-waste responsibly."

Residents from the neighboring communities of Arizona City, Eloy, Coolidge and Florence are also invited to bring their recyclable electronics materials to the event for recycling.
If requested, individuals donating e-waste will receive a certificate of disposal for their records from Westech Recyclers. Westech Recyclers recycles all material in accordance with state and federal regulations.
